About Us

Mason and Christina met in Portland, OR (the other Portland!) and moved to Maine with a dream to open a farm stay experience.  Mason is a gifted artist and chef and Christina is an engineer - a perfect match!

They started from scratch remodeling this old, abandoned farm house with nothing but hay fields and an old barn.  Built circa 1790 by the Irish family, this property has been a working farm for over 200 years. 

After years of hard work and elbow grease, the place sprung to life - Blue Heron Farm and Retreat was born in 2018!  

Mason and Chris are passionate about life and joy - and that shines through in everything they do and every personal touch you find on the farm.

Above all else, when you come to visit, they want it to feel like you've come back to see an old friend....  Welcome home...
